Exercise & Weight Loss
Our nutritional supplements help our patients to decrease chronic inflammation, make their exercise and nutritional efforts more effective as well as improve their performance. Your age management physician will work directly with you and your nutritionist to individualize your nutritional supplements to you based on your comprehensive evaluation as well as your personal goals.
Once you reach your goal weight, Dr. Sanderson will use your resting metabolic rate results to design a plan to keep the weight off for the rest of your life.
Making Weight Loss Possible
People often come to us very frustrated because they are exercising more than ever but still unable to lose weight or see any results. We have patients ranging from high level endurance athletes and bodybuilders to people who have never exercised with any regularity.
Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other. In conjunction with exercise, we offer the HCG diet, which is a medically-assisted diet that works by providing HCG in the form of a pill, drop, spray, and many other delivery methods.
What is the HCG Diet?
HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin, which is a natural hormone that helps boost metabolism in the body, allowing you to feel full while eating less. HCG is provided in addition to a diet plan designed to make sure you get the nutrients you need for your health. The HCG Diet was first developed in the 1950s by British scientists, and its use has only grown and improved since then.
HCG works by helping to boost metabolism in the body, which helps you absorb nutrients better and more effeciently, while at the same time keeping you from feeling hungry. This is important to reduce any sensation of food cravings that can sometimes occur during a diet.
HCG is not the only component in the diet, however. HCG works in conjunction with a low-calorie diet that ensures you eat less while still feeling full. This combination helps you to lose weight in a safe and medically-controlled manner. The amount of calories required can vary from person to person, as each individual is unique and their needs can differ greatly.
Training to Exercise Properly
Our patients find that they get terrific results with their individualized exercise programs. There is no one size fits all exercise plan. The best one is the one that is designed for you based on your specific characteristics, needs and goals.
Our VO2 max testing also allows us to make sure that you are exercising safely. Older patients who are just beginning an exercise regimen should be evaluated by a physician to be sure that they are able to begin an exercise regimen and at what level they may safely begin.
We utilize genetic testing from Dynamic DNA labs, leaders in genetic testing, to design your very own unique customized nutrition plan. Ever notice that two people can go on the same diet and one can get great results while the other gets none? They are genetically different. When it comes to diet and nutrition, there is no one size fits all approach. We all have different sensitivities (ex. Carbohydrate sensitivity) and needs (ex. Increased need for Vitamin D supplementation) based on our unique genetic makeup.
We use the Resting Metabolic Rate test to tell us exactly how many calories you need each day. We actually measure your metabolism instead of using inaccurate calculations that only consider height and weight. Two people of the same height and weight can have very different metabolisms, so take out the guesswork and measure it.
